Thoroughly Enjoyable

The boat dock along with the canoes, kayaks and paddle boards provided a great variety of water activities for the family and relaxing atmosphere of sitting on the dock early in the morning with a cup of coffee, priceless! The updated kitchen is amazing and very functional when preparing food for the hungry family members. Suggest you provide the option of having the dishwasher running with remaining dishes when leaving rather than having to have dishes dried and put away. Avoids having to hand wash and dry all while packing up to leave on time.

Absolutely Stunning!

We had the best time at this property. The layout of the rooms, game room, ping pong table, were just perfect. We really enjoyed everything and it was well appointed with all the appliances you’d need for the stay. They even had a beautiful welcome box of snacks and a bottle of wine for us. The outside of the property is really where the magic is. The back patio is breathtaking with over 180 degree views of the water, a gorgeous fireplace, fire pit (with more pre-chopped wood than anyone could use), outdoor kitchen, hot tub, and beautiful dining area. The dock was where we spent our time though. My daughter and I lounged in the hammocks on the dock while my husband and son fished and kayaked. We caught some huge fish and enjoyed the constant beautiful views of the water. This was our third year at SML and this property will be impossible to beat. We will be back again and again. It was perfect and peaceful and stunning.

Another Great Year at Smith Mountain Lake

Our time together at Smith Mountain Lake is something our entire family looks forward to. We've stayed at the same beautiful house for the last years and the owners have been great to work with. They have a great fireplace outside and every evening we have a fire and the kids make Smores. The boathouse has everything that we could want and all of our grandchildren love paddling the kayaks and swimming in the beautifully clean water. We already have plans to return next year!

Great Home for Vacation

We had a fantastic week staying at this home. It is the perfect location for a fun week at the lake. Loved all the lake toys, the chair swings, the hot tub, the fire pit, the porches and the cleanliness of the house. It worked out perfectly for our annual vacation!!!

Fun Spot Always Sets the Standard

Fun Spot (II or III) locations are always the pinnacle of any property I have ever stayed. With a large family, we often stay at rental properties throughout the year. Fun Spot beats them all. Lake Side Luxury

In the area for our daughters med school graduation from Liberty university. The property is outstanding. The fire pit and the dock/kayaks were our favorite. Communication was excellent. Highly recommend. A good time was had by all.

Well Appointed Home!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this lovely home. A beautiful property, huge dock and comfortable furniture everywhere! Plenty of outdoor games to play. The kids enjoyed the bunkroom . They thought is was great to have there own special room . The owners were always available for questions and responded quickly when contacted. Will definitely stay here again!

Best House at SML!

This house, property, boat house, and view are AMAZING...Our family (ages 12 to 83) have stayed here twice, and we've already booked for next summer. Perfect cove for swimming, water sports, easy access to everywhere on the lake. The owners of the house are super nice, and they keep the property in tip top shape. If you want a property that gives you EVERYTHING you want for an awesome lake vacay, this is it!

Incredible!

We selected this property based on the photos of the boathouse and back patio. It was even better than we thought! The house was beautiful, we loved the wrap around porch to sit and read or take a nap. We ate most of our meals under the pergola and played in and out of the water at the covered dock! The cove is perfect. Not much traffic making it a great place to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. It was hard going home after having a great week at the Fun Spot 2.

Best Lake Property We Have Ever Stayed

The Fun Spot II was the best lake property we have ever stayed at. Every Memorial Day weekend we always take a lake trip as a family. On a whim, we looked at a new Lake for some variety. I think we are now hooked on Smith Mountain Lake and the Fun Spot II. It was the best house with the best location on the greatest lake we have had the experience of traveling to.

The house is extremely comfortable and well done. The best part, however, is the outdoor space where the patio and dock answer every need you didn't know you had. The patio with the fire pit, grill station, fireplace, dining table, and hot tub is a destination unto itself. The dock, however, is where my family spent most of their time. The bar, the seating, music system, and swim platforms are just amazing. The owner provides all the lake items you could need, paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and life jackets. Truly loved and enjoyed our time. The views cannot be beat. I hope to be able to come back sometime in the future.”
